The Peeler Trio

Here at Fooding Kitchen, we can’t seem to get enough of our Swissmar Peeler Trio which matches our workspace nearly perfectly. That’s not why we bought it though. Well, not completely anyway… In reality, these technicolor peelers are just as useful as they are fun to look at. One features a regular peeling blade for potatoes, squash, and more, but the other two are the real stars of the set. The finely serrated blade on the left is perfect for peeling delicate fruit skins like that of tomato, kiwi, and pears. That way, less gets wasted and you get more out of your produce. The peeler in the middle features a julienne blade which makes match-sticking carrots, cucumbers, and other thick veggies a breeze. We use it to peel ourselves strings of produce for ramen, fresh rolls, and salads because the presentation is so darn pretty. We got ours for $17.95 from William Sonoma.

If a side-held peeler is more your thing, how about this nearly identical set from Messermeister? We found it for $19.95 on Chef Tools.

If you were hoping for different colors, fear not. The Find has tracked down singular versions of the Swissmar in a bevy of shades to suit any kitchen. We’re loving this bold turquoise, but then again, can you blame us?
